Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.

We accept all major credit and debit cards including American Express Visa / Visa Electron, Mastercard and Switch / Maestro. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may also send your credit card information via phone, fax, and snail mail.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable. We reserve the right to amend prices from time to time.

Carriage costs overseas - Carriage of orders sent overseas will be charged at cost depending on the item being sent and the country the item is being sent to. Sent by Parcel Force World-wide and United Carriers - within certain parts of Europe. All small packets are sent International letter post. Datapost & Euro 48 is available to some countries on request, along with Swift Air at cost. Other specialist carriers like UPS, etc. can be used if the customer wishes - but the costs are normally quite high.

Delivery Schedule Delivery (stock items) will normally be made within 2-4 working days from clearance of payment. We will endeavor to deliver goods within the times stated but goods are subject to availability and delay in delivery of goods is sometimes outside our control. We will normally send your order to you in 2/3 business days. Any dates we specify for the delivery of the goods are approximate only and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges, or expenses caused by any delay for delivery of the goods. If our suppliers or we are temporarily out of stock, we will notify you of this position and you should allow up to 14 days for dispatch of the goods. For delays of more than 14 days, you will have the right to cancel the order and we will refund any money paid by you for the goods.

Express delivery is usually next day, although not guaranteed. We request customers requiring this service to place their order before 2.00pm. You should inspect the goods when you receive them for defects or damage. If you find a defective or damaged item please inform us as soon as possible, in order that we can resolve the matter with minimum delay.

Overseas Orders This can be difficult for us to know how long orders take to arrive. As an approximate guide we say...
Air to most places 7/10 days.
Surface minimum 4 weeks to Europe. USA/Canada 4/6 weeks, Japan/South America 6/8 weeks, Australia 8/12 weeks.
Overseas orders are sent by airmail unless surface mail is specified.
Shipping cost is calculated when you place your order and you will not receive further charges. We currently debit cards in pounds sterling - this will be converted by your card provider to your local currency.

Any claims/ damage or faults must be made at the time of delivery and reported to Cubitts Models within 24 hours of receipt of goods.

Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free. Goods remain the property of Cubitts Models. We reserve the right to adjust quantities if necessary, to balance any error in payment. We reserve the right to substitute equivalent goods if supplies become unobtainable. Credit notes may be given at the time of dispatch, at the discretion of the company. We reserve the right to alter price and specification without notice.

Credit Card Security When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Guarantee We guarantee your satisfaction. All goods purchased from Cubitts Models are as supplied by the manufacturer and therefore carry the warranty as stated by said manufacturer. Generally our products are guaranteed for one year from date of purchase against any manufacturing defects.

Returns Policy Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm. In the unlikely event that you are not completely satisfied with your order you must notify us within 24 hours of delivery, detailing the reason for your dissatisfaction. In the event that an item is to be returned it must be unused and in the original packing and in the condition in which it was delivered to you. Unless there is a manufacturing fault, or the goods were damaged in transit, goods will be returned at your own cost and refunds are made up to the cost of goods excluding Postage and Packing. Cubitts Models strongly recommends the use of Royal Mail Recorded Delivery (signed for) for goods returned, and cannot be held liable for any losses in the postal service.

Customer Satisfaction Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm.

Cancelling (Orders within the EC) You have the right to cancel within 7 working days after the day you take receipt of goods. You must notify us within this time that you wish to cancel. You are required to take good care of the goods and return them to us at your own cost within 30 days. If we send a substitute without first checking that the substitute is acceptable then consumers are not expected to pay return carriage costs.

These rights are in addition to those relating to faulty or misdescribed goods.
